The Bundle Code is necessary for production to create the product and is used in many backend systems. You will need to include this book code when transmitting your products to production.
What is a Bundle Code?
A Bundle code is a code that is used in the SSO component setup that is used to uniquely identify the resources on the resource application that the user is entitled to. The bundle code is passed from the dashboard to the resource application once the user clicks the dashboard link to pass from the SSO student and/or Instructor dashboard to the application. Typically the bundle code contains rights to multiple resource site components which are bundled into the rights of the single bundle code.
When do I need one?
You will need a bundle code anytime you are setting up an IAC that has a resource that is a CNOW site or a Covalent quizzing site that has not been previously setup in ACMS. You need to get the code before attempting to do your product setup. ACMS will not allow you to complete your product setup without having the Bundle Code.
How do I get one?
To get a bundle code you need to request it by email from the Covalent team. The email address to send this request is GPMS.covalent@cengage.com. The information that you need to send in the request is:
Author(s) Name
Complete title of the book
Core Text ISBN - 13
Edition number
Copyrights Year
Discipline (Psych, biology, duslas, etc.)
Specific components that need to be included in the bundle code
If there was a previous edition you can send the bundle code from the previous edition. (This will help the Covalent team maintain consistency in the codes by edition)

What do they look like? Logo Lab For Iwork 1 3 Templates Bundle Codes Code
There is no mandatory structure that the bundle codes must follow to work correctly but, following standard convention, the codes are typically setup beginning with 'bun_' which identifies the code as one of the bundle codes as opposed to one of the resource codes. The next portion is normally a short abbreviation of the lead author name and book followed by two numeric digits that represent the edition. The entire code would look something like 'bun_waac23'.
